When the first Muslim congressman in U.S. history, Keith Ellison (Hakim-Mohammed) of Minnesota, won the 2006 election and was making the regular thank-you-to-my-supporters speech, he allowed his fans to shout, "Allahu Akbar!," the same phrase allegedly used by the 9/11 suicide pilots.

We tolerate this because we are a nation of laws, believing in freedom of speech and expression, and having largely a "Christian Attitude" in that we are taught, and expected to forgive. So we say nothing for fear of "hurting someone's feelings", or appearing to be insensitive. This is Political Correctness at it's worst and it is just another name for cowardice. Ironically, those that have shouted Allah Akbar! in the past have done so to eliminate freedom of expression and speech.
